JOB DESCRIPTION
A professional football player is seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Fitness Coach to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sports-specific training, nutrition, and injury prevention, with a proven track record of working with elite athletes. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who can develop and implement a personalized fitness program that aligns with the player’s goals and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Personalized Training Programs: Design and implement a comprehensive fitness and conditioning program tailored to the football player's specific needs, focusing on strength, endurance, agility, and injury prevention.
Monitor Progress: Track and assess the player's physical performance and fitness levels, adjusting the program as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
Nutritional Guidance: Provide expert advice on nutrition and supplementation to optimize performance and recovery.
Recovery & Injury Prevention: Work closely with medical professionals to develop injury prevention strategies and post-training recovery plans, including stretching, massage, and other therapeutic techniques.
Performance Analysis: Use data and performance analytics to make informed adjustments to training regimens, ensuring peak physical condition throughout the season.
Flexible Schedule: Be available to train and support the player in various locations, including during travel, off-season, and pre-season.
Collaboration: Coordinate with the player's coaching staff, nutritionist, and medical team to ensure a holistic approach to fitness and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or similar certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACSM, ISSA).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with professional athletes, preferably football players.
Strong knowledge of sports-specific training, nutrition, and injury prevention.
Excellent communication and motivational skills.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
